MEMBERS NOTICE
CAA Updates
Members will by now have recieved the Dec `19 copy of the BMFA News which contains the current required CAA paperwork required if you fly in a non club environment. Those members who have yet to gain a BMFA Acheivement may take the the online Competancy Test but it has been clarified that if you are on the buddy box system of training, then it is not required as the Instructor is the Pilot in charge. If the model belongs to the the student, then they will still have to register as an operator and pay the £9 CAA fee. (it should be noted that holding just a CAA Cert. of Competancy does not negate the requirement to have the BMFA A Cert. as a minimum to fly solo at Solent Airport).
